Nancy A. Schild, 87, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018 at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Mrs. Schild was the daughter of Louise (Veloz) and Ramon Fernandez who was born on January 23, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY.  She graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in home economics.  Mrs. Schild has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1983 moving here from South Miami.  She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid who could be seen helping in different events.  Mrs. Schild enjoyed working with stained glass, sewing and making quilts.  She loved to be with her family and friends especially her grand and great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon and a sister; Louise Fernandez.  Mrs. Schild is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Richard, daughters; Lauren Schild-Rothwell (Jeff), Susan Ling (Tim), sons: Bill Schild, John Schild (Kelley), 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  A service to celebrate Mrs. Schild's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid 118 N. Oak Avenue, Lake Placid with Rev. Ray Cameron and Rev.
