Nancy Metts Lowe, 78, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday morning June 3 , 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was a native Floridian, the daughter of Lillian (Hair) and Joel Metts. Nancy was born on June 23, 1940 in Port Orange. Nancy has been a resident of Highlands County for the past 10 years, moving here from Naples. Nancy was of the Baptist faith. Nancy had a passion for crafts, she enjoyed making baskets, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and painting. Nancy enjoyed being with her family and friends anytime they could get together, especially being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is survived by the love of her life of 63 years Jon, daughters; Vickie Townsend, Annie Ayers, Melanie Short, Sandra Hardin, sons; Jon Michael Jr., Daniel Eric, 11 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. In keeping with Nancy's wishes services will be private for the family.
