Myra Jean Roussel, 79 of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.  Myra was born on January 15, 1945, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Marcella (Lahrman) and Myron Kerr.  She has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past five years, moving here from Boynton Beach, FL and prior to that West Memphis, Arkansas.  Myra was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid, who enjoyed singing, collecting angels and doing crafts.  She loved to be with her family and friends especially time with her grand and great-grandchildren.  Myra is preceded in death by her loving son, Errol James Roussel II and her parents.  She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Errol James Roussel, daughters; Shawna Swoope (William) and Jeanna Millington, four grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister; Elizabeth Price.   A Funeral Mass to celebrate Myra's life will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid with Monsignor Mark Svarczkopf officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the St. James Gardens.
