Myra Sghia Dapsis, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord Thursday afternoon September 27, 2012 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center with family by her side. She was born in Bronx, NY on August 2, 1925 to parents Augusta (Reuschell) and Otto Thomas Sghia. Mrs. Dapsis moved to Lake Placid 34 years ago from Miami was Episcopal by faith and attending the St Francis of Assisi Anglican Episcopal Church. She owned ad operated a ceramic shop (Myra's Shoppe) for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Dapsis was preceded in death by her loving husband Michael and is survived by her loving daughters, Mrs. Laurie Brouwer-Glover (Joel), Mrs. Carol West (Rocky); 5 grandchildren, DJ Brouwer (Heather), James West (Dawn), Melissa West Franklin (John), Michael Brouwer and Karen Brouwer-Sonberg (Matt); as well as seven great grandchildren. Private services will be held for the family of Friday October 5, 2012 at Woodlawn Park Cemetery, Miami, FL.
