Mitchell A. Miller, 59 Passed away Friday, April 11,2025 after a courageous 7-year battle with cancer.

He was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 21, 1965, and lived in New Carlisle, Indiana where he attended elementary school. When his father was diagnosed with cancer, the family relocated to Lake Placid FL where he attended Lake Placid High School. He met his wife (Martha Lee) of 42 years in middle school and knew then that he was going to marry her.  They married at the young age of 17 and 18 and began what would truly be a love story that he loved to tell. They moved to LaPorte Indiana where he could begin his lifelong dream of being a truck driver. This is where he became "Long Hair" as he was known on the CB radio and to all his truck driving friends.  They moved back to Lake Placid in 1997 to take care of his mother-in-law where he finished his driving career and had to retire in 2020. He was the best joke and storyteller ever. He loved to be the life of the party with his stories and jokes and to make everyone laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Lee Shackelford Miller, his brother Phillip (Fran), Myrna Weiland, Mary Sage (Bill), Marie Downs (Bill), Maggie Rodriguez and his Goddaughter, Taylor V. Weiland, along with several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Jane Miller, Brother Ray Art Miller, sister's Marjory Osborn, Marty Ebersole, and nephew Kevin Weiland.

Mitch will be honored with a Celebration of Life later in the year.
