On March 6, 2020, Mildred "Midge" Ann Wilroy Gibson, 93, passed away peacefully with her son Dale Gibson and her daughter Sandra Gibson at her side.  Midge raised her 2 children in McLean, VA, where she was the accountant for the Goodyear Service Center in Arlington, VA before retiring and moving to Lake Placid Florida in the 1981.  Midge loved tracing her family heritage. She traveled the country searching for family records and markers, rigorously tracking her Wilroy-Gibson family tree. She was an avid artist who loved sculpting, photography, and basket weaving. She was an active community volunteer at her local hospital and at New Hope thrift store for many years. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 70 years, Prince Gibson.  She is survived by her son, Dale Gibson, her daughter Sandra Gibson, and her daughter-in-law Kim Gibson. Midge was blessed with 7 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Midge's life was held Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Scott Seawinds Funeral home in Lake Placid.  Midge will eternally rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Placid.
