Michael A. Stuever, 70, of Spring Lake went to be with his Lord on Friday morning January 8, 2016 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center. Michael was born on September 23, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to parents George and Edna Stuever. Michael served his country with honors in the US Army. After being discharged Michael started his career as a firefighter with the City of Affton Fire Service in MO, retiring as a Captain after 39 years of service. After retiring Michael moved to Sebring in 2006. He was of the Christian faith. Michael enjoyed collecting fire memorabilia, hot wheels cars, shopping the many local business looking for the perfect deal and loved being with his family and friends especially fellow firefighters. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Rhonda, daughter Lisa Durham (Mark); son, James; one granddaughter and one grandson. A funeral service to celebrate Michael's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Wayne Godwin officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
