Michael Dennis Simpson

Michael Dennis Simpson, 65, of Lake Placid, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday morning January 31, 2019 at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach. A native resident of Lake Placid, he was known by everyone as "Mike". He was born on November 4, 1953 to parents Betty (Burnsed) and Tilton "Buddy" Simpson. Mike was a graduate of Lake Placid Senior High Class of 71. He was a construction superintendent working in Palm Beach County. He was of the Christian faith. Mike had a passion for fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors. Mike enjoyed being with his family and friends anytime they could get together. He is preceded in death by his wife (Cheri), brother-in-law Roy Miller and father Buddy Simpson. He is survived by his loving mother Betty Simpson, sisters: Lisa Cabalo (Roy) and Patricia Miller; brother, Robert "Keith" Simpson and nieces, nephews and many friends that were like family. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate and reflect on Michael's life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid.
