Michael McCaskill, 68, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 22, 2026. Michael was a native Floridan who was born on December 26, 1957, in Bradenton and he was the son of Melba (Hartley) and Virgil McCaskill. Michael has been a resident of Lake Placid (Henderson Fish Camp) for the past twenty years, moving here from Bradenton. Michael worked for Alan Jay Automotive for many years and held the current job title as chase driver. He was of the Christian faith who enjoyed fishing the local lakes, and the local events at Brighton Casino. Michael loved life, being with family and friends whenever they could get together. Michael is preceded in death by his loving daughter; Jamie and his brother Bob Ruff and he is survived by his loving daughter; Patricia, sons; Michael and Daniel, a sister; Particia Victor and his two brothers; Ron and Blake McCaskill . A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held 10AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Ron McCaskill officiating.
