Micheal Raymond Flannery

January 17, 1965 - October 4, 2019

Micheal died unexpectedly at the too young age of 54. Born in Lansing, Michigan to Donald & Madeline Flannery, Michael relocated to Cape Coral, Florida in 1984. He was an eternal optimist who brought joy to all whose lives he touched. Dedicating himself to caring for others. After spending 25 years at Sears Holding Corporation, Michael took this need for caring to another level by enrolling in nursing school, graduating in 2012. He began his nursing career in private care and after relocating to Lake Placid, Florida, transitioned into elder care. Michael loved being a nurse and thrived in his new vocation, giving the same, loving care that he gave to his family and friends.

In his free time, he loved attending the theater, entertaining, shopping(!), & riding, not just the roller coaster of life but, any roller coaster at an amusement park near him.

He has left behind to grieve his beautiful soul his husband of 20 years, Frank Galaska, his son Waylon Galaska, his sister Lisa Hand and numerous family members and friends.

His life on Earth was too short but the memories and stories he has left for others to share is eternal.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Michael's life 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the St, James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Ft. Shawn officiating.
