Meredith (Stan) Schoonover of Lake Placid, Florida, originally from Morenci, Michigan, passed away at his home on Sunday morning, October 15. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jan, and his children Cindy Lowe (Keith) and Bill Ball (Patricia), five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his children from a previous marriage Judy McHan (Steve) and Jacqueline Crow, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren and by his sisters Marvolene Pennington (Richard) and Melba Barnes. He was preceded in death by son Jeff Schoonover (Cathy). For many years, Stan was the owner/operator of Schooni's Pizza in Lake Placid and was an avid golfer and fisherman who greatly loved the Lord. He was always a bright light and a generous spirit in the lives of those who knew him and will be sorely missed by all. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 22, at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Fellowship Church, 3750 Hammock Road, Sebring.
