Maxine M. Jones, 83, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the AdventHealth Hospital in Lake Placid.  She was born June 5, 1935 in Cazenovia, New York. She is the daughter of Virginia (McMillin) and Wilbur Crane. She is preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother Max Crane, daughter; Susan Jones, sisters; Shirley Payne and Judith Rollins.  Maxine retired as a professional cook at Morrisville College. She has lived in Florida for 30 years moving between Lake Placid and Englewood, but she had settled in Lake Placid for the past 10 years. Maxine was of the Christian faith. Maxine enjoyed cooking and baking rolls for her family and friends to enjoy.  She loved to be with her family any time they could get together, especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Maxine is survived by her loving husband Sam, daughters; Patricia, Mary, Nancy, Virginia, son; Daniel, 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Maxine's life will take place later this year.
