Max L. Crane, 77, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on April 11, 2013 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. He was born in Cazenovia, NY on June 5, 1935 to parents Virginia Lee (McMillen) and Wilbur W. Crane. Mr. Crane served his country in the US Army serving in Japan. A retired commercial lobster fisherman he moved to Lake Placid 25 years ago from the Florida Keys. Max was a member of the American Legion, VFW and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and loved to be with family and friends. Mr. Crane is survived by his loving son Terry L. Crane; sisters, Maxine Jones (Sam) and Judith Rowlens (Harold).
