Ma ry Frances Smith, 87, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on May 2, 2022 at Orchid Cove in Lake Placid, Fl. Mary Frances was the daughter of Dixie Mae Johnson (Long) and James Albert Johnson, who was born on June 7, 1934 in Alabama. Mary Frances has spent most of her life in Lake Placid. She retired from Consolidated Tomoka with many years of service packing fruit and she then went on to nursing school where she became an LPN for many years before retiring. Mary Frances loved spending time with her family anytime they could get together. Mary especially treasured time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Odes D. Smith and is survived by her daughter; Brenda Sue Jacobs (Ronald Jacobs) of Lake Placid, sons; Curtis Edwin Smith (Brenda Parson) of Sebring, Dennis Keith Smith of Lake Placid, Jerome Neal Smith (Ramona Smith) of Lake Placid and 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
