Mary A. Blackburn, 74, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Monday April 15, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Mary was the daughter of Patsey (Tolson) and Herman Woods who was born on January 7, 1945 in Memphis, TN.Mary was a retired sales person who worked in both retail and advertising sales. Mary has been a resident of Lake Placid since 2008, moving here from Blue Springs, MO. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary enjoyed shopping both the local stores and on line looking for a bargain, collecting mugs and jewelry. She loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together especially her grand and great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James, daughter; Brandy (Stephen), sons;

Chris (Charlene), Jimmy (DeNae), 8 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Wayne Godwin officiating.
