Martha Marie Blevins "Marie", 91, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord Wednesday morning February 16, 2011 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. Mrs. Blevins was born on July 17, 1919 in Campbellsville, KY to parents Eddie and Eva (Johnson) Wilkerson. Mrs. Blevins moved to Lake Placid in 1971 from Campbellsville, KY. Marie enjoyed working with her crafts, especially when it came to making hand made quilts and loved spending time with her family. She was an active member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Placid. Mrs. Blevins is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years Roy "Haskell" Blevins and is survived by her loving children, Linda Keen (Buddy and David Blevins, grandchildren; Suzanne Brown, Jeff and Chris McCubbin, great grandchildren; Zack and Lean Brown, Brandon and Julia McCubbin, a sister Mary Campbell and a brother Floyd Wilkerson. A service to celebrate Marie's life will be held 12:00 Noon Friday February 18, 2011 with a gathering for family and friends one hour prior t the Faith Baptist Church 660 Holmes Avenue, Lake Placid with Pastor Travis Hudson celebrating. Burial will be private at Oak Hill Cemetery.
