Marion E. Kerry, 98, of Lake Placid, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with the love of her family surrounding her at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Marion was born on January 11, 1928, in Clio, Michigan and was the daughter of Ethel (Jarvis) and George Wilcox. Marion had been a resident of Lake Placid since 1991, moving here from Belleview, Florida and Michigan prior to that. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed a good card game, especially poker, cooking her family’s favorite meals, and crocheting. Marion was the oldest member of VFW Post 3880 in Lake Placid, Florida. She loved spending time with her family and friends whenever they could get together. Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Alton. She is survived by her loving daughters; Debra Meeks, Lori Kerry, and Sally Perry, four grandchildren; Todd Meeks, Daryl Meeks, Melissa Funk and Amanda Renken, four great-grandchildren; Darrin Meeks, Emilee Meeks, Nathan Funk and Phinneas Funk, and soon-to-be great-great grandchild. In keeping with Marion’s wishes, the family will celebrate her life in private. She will be laid to rest at the Florida National VA Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida next to her husband, Alton.
