Marie D. Murray, a beloved soul whose spirit soared with faith and compassion, passed away on March 3, 2026, surrounded by love and peace. Born on November 23, 1942, in Alleghany, PA, Marie was a pillar of strength and grace throughout her storied life. Raised alongside her cherished sister Nancy and younger brother Jim, Marie's journey was one of resilience and unwavering love. With a master's degree in business, Marie excelled in her career at Bell South/ATT, where she garnered distinction and numerous accolades as an officer and president of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Marie's heart overflowed with love for her family, especially for her daughters, Lynda and Karen, who were her pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Her loving brother Jim, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, also mourn her passing. Passionate about life's simple pleasures, Marie found solace in the companionship of her beloved goldendoodle, Sassy, and expressed her creativity through photography, travel, painting, crafting, and tending to her gardens. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark of love and compassion on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joining her beloved spouse, John "Sarge" Murray, her sister Nancy, and her daughter Donna Marie Haney in eternal rest, Marie's memory will be cherished and her spirit forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
