Marianne Veronica Reason, 85, passed away at her Lake Placid home on April 11, 2025. Marianne was born in Jersey City ,New Jersey and met the love of her life while visiting her sister's boyfriend in the hospital. She and Don were married when she was 19 and working as a supervisor for the New Jersey telephone company. They later moved to Miami where Marianne became the office manager for her beloved Dr. Noel. Marianne loved to sing and was in the church choir at several of the churches she attended. Those who knew her well knew of her love and affinity for poetry, often writing a quick poem to commemorate a special person or event. One of her greatest sources of joy was the volunteer work she did at the local elementary schools. She and Don, married for 67 years, loved to travel and traveled the world as retirees.

Marianne is preceded in death by her brother in law Bill Knaack and niece Tracy, her brother Paul and sister in law Judy Amato, and her son Don Reason Jr. She is survived by her soulmate Don Reason, sister Terry Knaack, nephew Bill Knaack, niece Erika Amato, daughter and son in law Cindi and Mark Hannon and her three grandsons, Ty, Trace and Troy Hannon. She is already greatly missed.
