Maria Evelyn Parnett, 79, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Thursday afternoon May 27, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1930 in Bayport, Long Island, NY to parents Ernst and Maria Martha (Ziegler) Herz. She moved to Lake Placid in 1986 from South Florida and was a member of the Sebring Parkway Church of Christ. Mrs. Parnett is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Robert E. and is survived by her loving children; Robin Williams (Bruce), Lynne Redding (Ken), Teri Samo (Duncan), Nelda Wilcox (Robert) and James Parnett (Kim), 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a sister Karin Heath. A service celebrating Mrs. Parnett's life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Sebring Parkway Church of Christ 3800 Sebring Parkway, with Minister's Dale Spung and Frank Parker celebrating.
