Maria Antonia Costa, 88, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning January 15, 2011 at the Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring. She was born on March 4, 1922 in Italy to parents Giovanni and Anna (Lettieri) Grosso. A homemaker she moved to Lake Placid seven years ago from New York. She and her family enjoyed spending the winters in Hollywood, FL. Mrs. Costa loved being with her family and enjoyed being around friends and was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. Mrs. Costa is survived by four loving daughters; Salome Josephine Costa-Yuhasick, Anna Anttommarchi, Jane Costa and Jeanette Santamaira, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday (today) January 19, 2011 at the St. James Catholic Church 3880 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Michael Cannon celebrating. Further services and burial be at St. Charles Cemetery in New York.
