Margaret (Peggy) E. Albelli, 78, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at her residence. She was born on May 9, 1948, in Cornwall, New York and was the daughter of Beatrice (Monahan) and George Ruger. Margaret has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1988, moving here from upstate New York. Once here, she went to work for Winn Dixie as a cashier and retired as an assistant pricing manager. Margaret loved to read, watch TV, play cards, and listen to country western and Elvis. She loved to spend time with her family. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her sister, Virginia. She is survived by her loving daughter Melissa (Long) Barlaug; granddaughter Meghan Barlaug, 2 sisters; Betty Conroy (Ron), Carol Wengelski (Robert - predeceased) and her brother; George Ruger (Donna), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, the family will celebrate her life in private.
