Mae P. Vines, 90, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Tuesday afternoon October 12, 2010 at the Southern Lifestyles Assisted Living. She was born on December 22, 1919 in Adger, Alabama to parents William and Ona Patton. Mrs. Vines was one of nine children and the last survivor. Mae was a graduate of Auburn University and worked as a department head during WW II for a hosiery manufacture in Columbus, GA. She moved to Lake Placid from Naples, FL in 1990 and became active as a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid. Mrs. Vines is survived by her loving husband; Euel, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 AM Thursday (today) October 14, 2010 with funeral services following at 10 AM to celebrate Mrs. Vines life at the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid 119 E. Royal Palm St with Rev. Brett Morey celebrating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday October 16, 2010 at the Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA, with Rev. Don Wilhite officiating.
