Luis Pratts-Martinez, 50, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday morning June 4, 2020 at this residence.  Luis was born on November 1, 1969 in San Juan Puerto Rico to parents Ivette Martinez and Luis R. Pratts.  Luis has been a long time resident of Lake Placid moving here from Miami, FL where he worked as a road ranger helping stranded motorist on the local highways.  That caring for people carried over when Luis became a volunteer firefighter with fifteen years of service with the Placid Lakes VFD Fire Rescue Station 39.  Luis enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for the residences of Highlands County.  He loved attending local events and being with his family and friends anytime they could get together especially spending time with his granddaughters.  Luis is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Norma, daughter; Norma Ivette Pratts, son; Luis Pratts (Ellen) two granddaughters, his brothers Jorge and Junior and his parents.  A service to celebrate his life was held 3:00 PM, Saturday June 6, 2020 at the Community Church of God with Pastor Joe DeHart and Pastor Eliezer Rodriguez.
