With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Loretta Hogan Wolfcale on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Loretta was born the youngest of three daughters in Youngstown, Ohio in 1927 and moved to Miami, Florida not long after marring the love of her life Edson "Eddie" Noble Wolfcale. Loretta and Eddie shared a love for the ages. Together they lived and life full of love and laughter while working hard and raising a family, and even into retirement enjoyed a robust and active life shared with family and friends. Loretta moved into their vacation home in Lake Placid, Florida after her husbands passing in 2000, where her innate social nature and gift of gab helped her flourish finding new friends and opportunities to provide fulfillment in life in the largely felt absence of her beloved husband. The resoluteness of Loretta's will match with her undeterred positive mindset navigated her through some of the most difficult times, to fine a life filed with new friends, opportunities, and always unwavering love for her family and gratitude for her continued blessings. She is bereaved by her eldest son Randy, his wife of fifty years Chris, her four adored grandchildren and their spouses: Jake, Justin, Tina, and Lee, and her two cherished great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Megan. As a woman of unwavering faith and trust in the Lord, may her family and loved ones find comfort in this difficult time in the knowledge that she is now complete in the Lord and reunited with her beloved husband, son's, friends and loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Lorretta's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the St. James Catholic Church 3880 Placid View Drive, Lake Placid with Father Vincent Clemente officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Saint Vincent De Paul Society (Clarity for the poor) in Lorette's memory.
