Obituary

Linda Kay Fowler, 74, of Lake Placid, FL lost her battle with Parkinson's disease on August 24, 2018 at her residence.  Linda fought this disease for over 30 years and always had a positive perspective despite the many hardships she endured.  She fought a good fight and will always be remembered as a strong, selfless and caring woman.

Linda (Gast) Fowler was born on December 30, 1943 in Wheeling, WV.  She graduated from Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in 1964.  She was preceded in death by her parents Laverne and Robert Gast, Sr., and two brothers; Bob Gast, Jr., and Ray Gast.

Linda was a dedicated registered nurse and was employed at the Thomas Memorial Hospital for most of her 36 year career.  Her compassion and kindness shined through her in everything she did.

Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years Bill Fowler of Lake Placid, her sons; Jeff (Melissa) Fowler, Ryan (Dayspring) Fowler and daughter; Christine (Tom) Cameron, 7 grandchildren; Hannah, Jack, Cormac, Finn, Keen, Ella and Cole.  A celebration of life gathering  to reflect on Linda's life will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday December 30, 2018 at the Covered Bridge Clubhouse in Lake Placid.  Memorial contributions can be made on Linda Fowler's tribute page to Michael J.
