Obituary

Lilias Alberta Thompson, 82, of Venus went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, October 17, 2018 at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Lilias was the daughter of Willamina and Clarence Curry who was born on August 6, 1936 in Spanish Wells, Bahamas.

Lilias moved to Lake Placid from the US Naval Base in Cuba in 1975. She enjoyed going to her church Pentecostal Lighthouse Fellowship in Lake Placid, working around the house gardening and crocheting. She loved to be with her family and friends especially her church family.

Lilias is preceded in death by her parent and three sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Raymond and many extended family members in the Bahamas.

A service to celebrate Lilias' life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Scott Seawinds Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid, with Pastor Ronnel Barfield officiating.
