Lewis O. Dixson, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Thursday morning September 22, 2016 at the Vitas Hospice in Sebring. Lewis was born in New York on March 8, 1929. He served his country with honors in the United States Military. Lewis was a retired district sales manager with Yellow Trucking. A resident of Venus for many years, Lewis moved to Lake Placid one year ago. Lewis was the "go to guy" who helped people with their projects. Lewis enjoyed being around people and loved spending time with his family. Lewis was a member of the Venus Methodist Church in Venus. Lewis is survived by his loving wife Kip; daughter, Dawn Hackett; son, Jay Dixson and a sister. A service to celebrate Lewis life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Memorial United Methodist Church 500 Kent Avenue Lake Placid, FL with Pastor Tim Haas officiating.
