LeRoy Clair Jennings, 83, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at his residence. LeRoy was born on January 15, 1942, in Bath, New York, and he was the son of Helen (Gardner) and Clair Jennings. LeRoy served his country with honors in the New York National Guard. He has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 25 years, moving here from Bath, New York. LeRoy was a retired license master electrician. LeRoy was of the Baptist faith and an active member of the VFW Post 4300 Sebring where he served in the honor guard, the American Legion and the Lake Placid Moose Lodge. LeRoy was known for his green thumb, gardening around his house, fishing in the local lakes, tinkering and fixing things around the house and walking his dogs. He loved to be with his family and friends whenever they could get together, especially spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. LeRoy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Sandra, daughters, Cheryl, Sandy, Mary Jo "MJ" (Andy), Rebecca, Kimberly (Jeffery) and Colleen, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister, Louise Peterson, and two brothers Eugene (Josephine) and Donald (Carolyn) Jennings. A service to celebrate LeRoy's life will be held later with military presented by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard. Words of comfort to the family can be made by visiting www.scottfuneralservices.com.
