Lauren M. Knowles, 50, of Port Charlotte, FL, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Lake Placid, FL.  Lauren was the daughter of Rita (Mertes) and Laurence Knowles, who was born on May 1, 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky.  Lauren had been a resident of Lake Placid for nine years, moving here from Louisville. Lauren was a logistics specialist at the Avon Park Air Force Range.  Lauren enjoyed art, going to the theatre, listening to music, traveling and shopping for those great bargains. She loved to be with her family and friends any time they could get together.  Lauren is preceded in death by her loving father Laurence. She is survived by her loving mother, Rita Knowles and her sister; Kathrin Knowles-Cusworth (Brian). In keeping with Lauren's wishes services were private for the family.
