Larry Alan Simpson, 72, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on February 13, 2024 at his residence in Lake Placid. Larry was born on April 11, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana and was the son of Betty (Ouier) and Philip Simpson. Larry has been a resident of the Lake Placid area since 1989 moving here from Palm Beach County after retiring from the City of Boca Raton where he had many years of service in Water Utilities Department. Larry was of the Christian faith and was a model sports car enthusiast that enjoyed building and collection vintage model cars, owning and driving his Corvette a Porsche and Dodge Challenger. Larry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Purcell, grandson; Ryan Purcell, brother; William R. Simpson, several cousin's in Elkhart, Indiana including Tracey Howell and a dear friend; Mary Alice Barnes. Larry will be laid to rest with his parents at the Flagler Memorial Gardens in Flagler Beach, FL. In keeping with Larry's request, there will be no local services.
