Larry Carl Kite, 90, of Lorida went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the HCA Florida Highlands Hospital in Sebring. Larry was born on June 7, 1932 in Clinton, Indiana and was the son of Louise (Baker) and Conrad Kite. Larry served his country with honors in the United States Navy. After serving his country, Larry earned his Masters degree in education and retired from the Clinton, Indiana School System. He took that same passion of teaching and was a flight instructor, who had the pleasure of teaching many pilots how to fly. Larry was of the Christian faith who enjoyed flying, playing the base guitar, shooting, hunting and fishing the local lakes. He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with his grand and great-grandchild ren. Larry is survived by the l ove of his life of 67 years, Ramona, daughter; Laura Kite, son; Ed Kite, two grandsons, a great granddaughter and great grandson, and two sisters; Connie Williams and Julie Hux. A service to celebrate Larry's life will be held 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at the Scott Funeral Home 501 W. Interlake Blvd. with military honors present by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
