Kelly A. Rau, 57, of Sebring went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring surrounded by her loving family.  Kelly was born on March 6, 1964 in Midland, Michigan.  She was the daughter of Joan M. (Beebe) and Jerry D. Rau.  Kelly has been a long time resident of Florida, moving here from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  She held a degree in cosmetology, loved cutting and styling hair, she worked for 20 years as office administrator with the 21st Century Oncology surgeons group. Kelly was very active in the fight against cancer and promoting Relay for Life fund raisers across South Florida.  Kelly was of the Christian faith.  She enjoyed fishing, following NASCAR racing, crocheting afghans for cancer patients, family and friends.  Kelly never met a stranger, everyone was her friend and she lived and loved with such passion and ease. She battled cancer for 17 plus years, of which she rarely complained but just laughed a lot, made the best of it and kept pushing thru. She loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together.  Kelly is survived by her loving parents Joan and Jerry Rau, and her two brothers; Kenneth and Kris Rau. A luncheon to celebrate Kelly's life will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at the Tropical Harbor Club House 27 Rickert Drive Lake Placid with Foster "Skip" Petteys leading the celebration. Anyone that would like to make any type donation in her honor, Kelly requested they go to... St.Jude research hospital and/or Hope for hospice, in lieu of sending flowers or gifts.
