Kathryn W. Horton, 87, 0f Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Friday morning February 24, 2012 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. She was born on January 31, 1925 in Brewster, FL to parents Stanley and Pearl (Latham) Williams. She and her husband moved to Lake Placid in 1985 from New Orleans. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid, Mrs. Horton was active singing in the choir and ringing the bells. She enjoyed playing music for different groups and writing music as well as spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Horton is preceded id death by her loving husband Hugh, Jr. and daughter Kathryn Eloise Branson. She is survived by her loving sons; Hugh W., III and Robert Horton (Susan) 3 grandchildren, one great grandson and a sister Jerry Heidel. A service to celebrate Mrs. Horton's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday February 27, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid 118 N. Oak Avenue, with Rev. Ray Cameron celebrating. The family suggest donation be made in Mrs. Horton's memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid.
