Kathryn Elizabeth Green (Kastner), 103, of Lake Placid died on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence. Kathryn was born December 16, 1913 in Cumberland, Maryland, daughter of the late Anthony P. Kastner and Ella Marie Seifers. She was preceded in death by her husband Hilary Harrison Green of Mount Savage, Maryland in November 1992, her son James A. Green in 1942 and her daughter Mary Arleen Wrinkle Murphy in 2009. Mrs. Green was a graduate of Allegany High School, Cumberland in 1932. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Cumberland and St. Charles Borromeo in Port Charlotte, FL. Kathryn is survived by two of her children, Mr. Raymond F. Green of Lake Placid, FL and Mrs. Joan M. Patel of Huntington Beach, CA. Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home 107 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD on Thursday evening January 26, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peters and Paul's Shrine, 125 Fayette St., Cumberland on Friday morning January 27, 2017. Interment at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
