Karen Lynn Pierce, 82, of Lake Placid, FL and Whitestown, IN., went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Advent Health Sebring Hospital.  Karen was born on January 15, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana and she was the daughter of Laverne  and Robert Tucker.   Karen has been a winter resident of the Lake Placid area since 2007.  She was a retired office manager at the local glass company in Whitestown.  Karen was an active member of the Placid Lakes Baptist Church. Karen loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with her grand and great-grandchildren.  Karen is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Jim, son Gordon Acord, two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister: Debbie Sander.  A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Placid Lake Baptist Church 116 Cleveland Avenue NE, Lake Placid, FL with Pastor Jeff Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
