Judith Ann Shin, passed away on March 19, 2023 after suffering from various
medical issues and dementia at the age of 88 in Lake Placid, Florida. She was
born February 1, 1935, raised and schooled in Astoria Queens, New York. Judy
spent her young adult years working for the telephone company in Manhattan,
New York. She was a caring daughter & sister, an excellent cook, and a lifelong
Catholic. In 1963, she married her husband and soulmate, Stephen,  became a
full time mom, and raised three wonderful boys while living in both Florida and
New York due to her husband's job relocation.  After Stephen's retirement from
Pan Am Airlines in 1991, Judy and Steve decided to live out their lives together in
Sunrise, Florida, and finally agreed upon moving to Lake Placid, Florida.  Judy
was such a positive person; she immediately lit up any room she entered and
made an impact on so many people. She loved, and was loved, by her family and
friends and filled her home with warmth and kindness. She was always there for
many a great laugh or two. She enjoyed telling stories, traveling, helping people,
and spending time playing "Apple's to Apple's" with her loving family and
grand-kids during the holiday get together s. Judy was preceded in death by her
husband Stephen in December 2021. She is survived by her sons: Stephen Jr.,
Frank, and Robert, and her four grandchildren: Meredith, Jessica, Elizabeth and
Robert Jr. The family will receive friends 2-4 PM, Monday, March 27, 2023 at the
Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. A prayer service to celebrate Judy's
life will be held at 3 PM with Father Vincent Clemente officiating. She will be laid
to rest 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Sarasota National Cemetery
