Joyce Anne Hayden, 84, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022 at her residence.  Joyce was born on July 16, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of Mary Anne (Klier) and Robert H. Knapp.  Joyce has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1980 moving here from Covington, KY.  Joyce retired from the Wal-Mart Vision Center where she was both the manager and Optician for over twenty-five years.  Joyce was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid.  She was an avid traveler who enjoyed art, interior decorating, gardening around the house and doing crossword puzzles.  Joyce loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could all get together, especially time with her grand and great-grandchildren.  Joyce is preceded in death by her loving son, Fabian III.  She is survived by the love of her life of 68 years Fabian Jr.,  daughters; Kathryn Wyenandt, Rachel Lee, Erica Jones, son; Keith Hayden, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and sisters; Ruth and Mary.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Vincent Clemente officiating.  Entombment will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
