Joseph Roland Sala, Jr., 89 of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Saturday morning April 4, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of Dorothy and Joseph Sala and was born on August 21, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Sala served his country with honor in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Sala retried from the manufacturing industry and moved to Lake Placid in 1989 from Hollywood, FL. Joseph was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Mr. Sala enjoyed singing all of Frank Sinatra's songs and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Paul Sala of Lake Placid; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a brother, Roger Sala. A graveside service to celebrate Joseph's life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard providing military honors.
