Joseph Foster Rohrer, 72, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning November 16, 2021 at his residence.  Joseph was born on October 23, 1949 in Springfield, Ohio and was the son of Eva (Scubis) and Donald Rohrer.  Joseph served his country with honors in the United States Air Force.  He became a civilian contractor with the US Air Force where he was a computer technician.  His job gave him the opportunity to work at several bases during his career, the last being the Homestead AFB.  Joseph has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past four years moving here from Hollywood.   Joseph was of the Christian faith and attended the Eastside Christian Church and the Lake Placid Church of Christ.  Joseph enjoyed working on his computer, keeping up with family, friends and current events, fishing and shooting his guns.  He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together.  Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Dale and Ricky Rohrer.  He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Wanda, daughter; Julie Anne Rohrer, son; David Andrew Rohrer, sister; Linda Peters and a brother; Terry Rohrer.  A service to celebrate Joseph's life will be held at a later date.
