Joseph (Joe) M. Briski. 79, of Lake Placid went to be with the Lord on Valentines Day February 14, 2016 at the Tampa General Hospital. Joe was born December 18, 1936 in Chicago, IL and is one of eight children of Florence (Williams) and Joseph Briski. Joe honorably served his country with in the US Army 11th Airborne MP. Joe retired as a building superintendent with the Palm Beach School System. He moved to Lake Placid in 2005 from West Palm Beach to fulfill his retirement dream of living on the water. Joe was an avid Chicago Bears fan who loved cooking, dancing, NASCAR racing, boating, fishing, collecting and shooting his guns, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Joe was of the Catholic faith. Joe is preceded in death by his loving daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Joyce Briski, daughter Kathy Briski-Graham, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters and 3 brothers, and many wonderful close friends. There will be a gathering for family and friends to celebrate the life of Joe Briski at the American Legion Placid Post #25, 1490 US 27 North Lake Placid, Florida Saturday, March 19,2016 from 3pm to 5pm.
