José Flores Mojica, de 66 años, de Lake Placid, Florida, se unió al Señor el domingo 28 de diciembre de 2025.
José nació el 29 de agosto de 1959 en El Coco, Guerrero, México, hijo de Nicolasa Mojica y Erasmo Flores. Había sido residente de Lake Placid por los últimos 45 años y trabajó en la agricultura durante muchos años antes de jubilarse.
José, un hombre de fe católica y personalidad magnética, amaba bromear con todos los que conocía. Nunca era tímido para hacer conversación con extraños, y su humor rápidamente hacía sentir cómodos a los demás. Disfrutaba escuchar música, pasar tiempo en su granja, ver películas clásicas y partidos de fútbol, así como visitar a amigos y familiares. Por encima de todo, José apreciaba a su familia y valoraba cada oportunidad de reunirse con sus seres queridos, especialmente disfrutar del tiempo con sus numerosos nietos.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Nicanor, sus hijos, Nicolás, Esperanza, Virginia, María, Beatriz, Daniel, Angélica y Carolina Flores; y su hermano, Carlos Flores; once nietos y a un bisnieto.
El servicio funerario para celebrar la vida de José se llevará a cabo el viernes 9 de enero en Scott Seawinds Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid. La visita será de 10:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., con una oración dirigida por el Padre Vincent Clemente, seguida del entierro en el Cementerio Oak Hill.

Jose Flores Mojica, 66, of Lake Placid, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Jose was born on August 29, 1959, in El Coco, Guerrero, Mexico, to Nicolasa Mojica and Erasmo Flores. He had been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 45 years and worked in the agricultural industry for many years before retiring.

Jose, a man of Catholic faith with a magnetic personality, loved joking with everyone he met. Never shy about striking up a conversation with strangers, his humor quickly puts others at ease. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time on his farm, watching classic movies and soccer games, as well as visiting with friends and family. Above all, Jose cherished his family and treasured every opportunity to gather with loved ones, especially spending time with his many grandchildren.

Jose survives by his loving wife, Nicanor; his children, Nicolas, Esperanza, Virginia, Maria, Beatriz, Daniel, Angelica, and Carolina Flores; his brother, Carlos Flores; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

A funeral service to celebrate Jose's life will be held on Friday, January 9, at Scott Seawinds Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a prayer led by Father Vincent Clemente, followed by entombment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
