Obituary

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Guadalupe Chavez-Rocha, age 21, of Arcadia, Florida, who left this world on February 17, 2026. Jose was born on December 14, 2004, and from the very beginning brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of those around him. He was a deeply cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and proud godfather whose presence meant so much to so many.

He was the cherished son of Estella Rocha. Jose is lovingly survived by his godparents, Jesus and Rosalinda Barajas, and his siblings: Francisco Vasquez and his wife, Alisa, and their children, Sofia and Penelope; Juan Vasquez and family; Sylvia Vasquez and her son, Hugo Lopez; Roberto Vasquez and his wife, Faviola Alejo; Emily Canlas and her spouse, Dennis, along with their children, Daniel, Anastasia, Sebastian, and Leonardo; and his sister, Ermelina Villafana, and her spouse, Frank Meza. Jose was a proud and loving uncle who adored his nieces and nephews and treasured every moment spent with them. He also held a very special role as the godfather to his nephew, Sebastian, a role he embraced with love and pride.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Guadalupe and Amalia; his brother Rick; his aunts Gloria, Lupita, and Consuelo; and his uncles Victor, David, Felipe, Richard . Cousins Cindy, Ismael, Alexus , Fernando, Rex . While we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with them, his absence leaves an emptiness in our hearts that cannot be filled.

Jose was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make everyone laugh. He loved truck driving and took pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his mom, nieces and nephews, and brought joy wherever he went. He was kind, caring, protective, and truly an amazing soul. Jose was known for his generosity and kindness, always willing to help anyone in need without ever expecting anything in return. To know Jose was to love him.

Though his time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the love he gave and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
