Jonancy McCann, 71, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday night, December 31, 2016 at the Hope Hospice House in Ft. Myers. Jonancy was the daughter of Jean Dolores Ryan and Joseph Gerengher who was born on February 11, 1945 in Cleveland, OH. Jonancy retired from the South Seas Resort on Captiva Island as there Group Reservations Manager with 31 years of employment. After retiring she and her husband moved to Lake Placid in 2008 from Ft. Myers. Jonancy enjoyed swimming at the pool, going to the beach, cooking for her family, traveling and shopping for that great bargain. Jonancy loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jonancy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid. Jonancy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Roger; daughter, Christine Lee; sons, Chris, Mark and Timothy McCann; nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Jonancy's life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church Lake Placid 118 N. Oak Avenue, Lake Placid with Rev. Ray Cameron and Rev. Drew Severance officiating. Mrs. McCann will be buried at the Sarasota Nation Cemetery in Sarasota, FL
