Dr. John David Thomas went to be with the lord on September 15, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Beck Thomas, daughters Diane Kimball (Gary), Teresa Mitchell (Daniel), Rachel Deweese (Daniel), and his brother, Eric Thomas (Dorothy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.
Dr. Thomas was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He retired as an Army Captain. He worked for the Duval and Palm Beach County school systems. He earned a Bachelors and a Masters degree from the University of Florida and a Doctorate degree from Nova University.
He pastored churches in Palmdale and Pioneer, Florida. He also volunteered with the Big Lake Baptist Association.
He loved playing in the Lampi Memorial Band. He also loved singing and playing the piano and harmonica.
Although we know he is with his Lord and Savior, he will be missed by his family and friends left behind.
