John E. Miller, 75, of Venus, FL, went to be with his Lord on Friday evening September 19, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 28, 1939 in Rutherford County, TN to parents Willie (Williams) and Ralph Talley. John, a retired operating engineer working with heavy equipment in San Francisco moved to Nashville, Tennessee then to Highlands County in 1982. John was a member of the Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374 and was of the Episcopal faith. John enjoyed outdoor activities, woodworking and gardening and loved spending time with both his family and friends. He was a well loved and kind man who will be truly missed. John is survived buy his loving daughter; Pam Frazier, sons; Ron Wood and Michael Flint, eight grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters; Gail Albright and Margie Roberts and an Aunt Mrs. Mary Hulsey.
