John David Holloway, 91, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with his Lord on Thursday evening July 10, 2025, at his residence.  John was born on February 5, 1934, in Valleytown, North Carolina and he was the son of Mary Lou (Harris) and John Henry Holloway.  He served his country with honors in the United States Army.  John and his wife moved to Lake Placid in 1988 from Ransomville, New York after his retirement from Linde Air where he was a maintenance supervisor.  He was of the Christian faith and a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25.  John enjoyed playing softball in the men's league in Highlands County, square dancing, dancing in general and attending  social events.   John loved to be with his family and friends whenever they could get together.  John is survived by the love of his life of 66 years, Patricia, daughters; Zoe A.
