John James Frick, 92, of Lake Placid passed away Tuesday morning November 16, 2010 at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He was born on July 2, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana to parents Reuben and Mary (Taylor) Frick. He served his country as a Captain in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Mr. Frick was in the electronic business in South Bend and was active in state politics serving in the Indiana House and Senate as well as a Lobbyist. He moved to Lake Placid in 1990 from South Bend and was a member of the Community Church of God. Mr. Frick in predeceased by his wife Nola and is survived by daughters; Johnette Rodriguez and Jennifer Frick, 2 grandchildren and a brother Ralph R. Frick, and friend James Purucker. A gathering for family and friends will be held Friday November 19, 2010 from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM with celebration services following at 110:00 AM at the Community Church of God 735 S. Sun 'N Lakes Blvd. Lake Placid with Rev. Joseph DeHart celebrating. The family suggest donations be made in Mr. Frick's honor to the Community Church of God.
