Joanne Sheron Shilling, 84, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with her Lord on April 8, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Joanne was born on March 24, 1942, in Flint. Michigan and she was the daughter of Mary (Kida) and Harry Dorris. She has been a winter resident in the area since 1995 and became a full-time resident of Lake Placid in 2000. Joanne was of the Christian faith who enjoyed quilting, painting, making baskets and anything to do with crafts. She enjoyed going to the local craft shows, getting new ideas on things to do. Joanne loved to be with her family and friends whenever they could get together. Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Gary, daughters; Robin and Shawn, sons; Kevin and Brian, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a sister; Janelle and a brother; Barry.
