Jerrold "Jerry" Earl Van Ness Jr., 68, of Lake Placid, Florida passed away Friday, October 19th, 2012 at his residence from natural causes.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, January 3rd, 1944 to Jerrold Earl Van Ness and Frances "Fran" S. Clitty.
Jerry served in the U.S. Coast Guard with an Honorable Discharge and when he was out of the service he worked and retired at Eastern Airlines.
Jerry came to live in Lake Placid about 10 years ago, after living in Key Largo, Florida. Jerry enjoyed being near water, fishing, spending time with his animals and riding his beloved golf cart.
One of five children, Jerry was preceded in death by Jerrold Earl Van Ness, father, Marie Van Ness, wife, John "Larry" Lawrence Van Ness, brother and Robert "Bobby" Edwin Van Ness, brother. Jerry is survived by Frances "Fran" S. Clitty, mother, Carol Ann Gallant (Mark), sister, Raymond "Ray" Charles Van Ness, brother. Along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and extended family.
Jerry's memorial is to be held at a later date.
